Manager, Business Services Expand/Collapse

The role of the Business Services Manager involves establishing and nurturing strong connections with clients to offer a comprehensive range of business-related offerings. This entails overseeing a varied commercial account portfolio, where the individual assesses, analyzes, approves, or advises on credit applications from both commercial and public sector entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Manager, Business Services is a vital leadership position that engages with all Beaubear Team Members, our Members and other key financial stakeholders.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of existing members and proactively look for opportunities to grow our portfolio.
  • Recommend sound business lending practices and procedures consistent with policy, industry standards and member service expectations.
  • Providing exceptional internal and external member service following the Credit Union’s Experience.
  • Compile loan packages and negotiate loan structure with members.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to branch staff.

Minimum qualifications required to be successful in this position include:

  • 4 years relevant experience in business lending at a financial institution or similar training/ experience in credit management
  • Bachelor of Business Administration/Commerce Degree or a diploma in Business Administration
  • Preference given to candidates with 2 years’ leadership experience.
  • Excellent financial analytical aptitude especially in areas of managing risk.
  • Strong administrative skills (minimum intermediate level proficiency in MS Office products)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail skills.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills as well as positive attitude
  • Flexible person who is self-directed and works well with little supervision.

Member Service Representative Expand/Collapse

Member Service Representatives play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our members by providing a personalized and engaging member experience for every member every time.

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Start conversations with members to determine their needs and connect them with the most suitable products and services.
  • Previous experience with cash services would be an asset
  • Proactively explains products and services and promotes the benefits of utilizing other Credit Union services in branch and telephone interactions with members and prospective members alike.
  • Process various financial transactions and balance daily work in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Respond to member inquiries and resolve any concerns or discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate a team approach and provide support to the Front-Line team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective members.
  • Understand all products and services offered by Beaubear Credit Union. These include and not limited to facts and features; benefits and advantages; rules and regulations and price structure.
  • Follow the Credit Union’s security and risk management procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Be flexible to work any day of the week from Monday to Friday in any of our two branches. 
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the position (MS Office products).

Qualifications include:

  • Completion of high school or GED and up to one year of related experience
  • Superior customer service and business development skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed business/sales objectives
  • An outgoing and self-motivated nature with strong work ethics
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven history of accuracy and high attention to details (data entry, paperwork, cash balancing)
  • Superior communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout our 2 branches, providing coverage as needed
