and the remaining 2 positions are for a 1 year term.

If the incumbent directors are successful and continue in office, they will fill the vacated seats accordingly.

Lynn Esty - Currrent Board Member, Reoffering

I have worked in the Dairy Industry for my entire career.   My current position is with Agropur Co-operative where I am Director of Finance for the Miramichi operation.  I am responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for this location and for providing guidance and leadership to the Finance Team. I have a degree in Business Administration from UNB and earned my CPA-CGA designation in 1999.   I have been a volunteer with the Big Brothers-Big Sisters in school mentorship program for nine years. I opened my membership with Beaubear Credit Union 35 years ago and have been a loyal member ever since.  I served as a Director for 16 years where I have been a member of the Audit Committee.

Pat Clancy- Audit Committee Chairperson , Reoffering

Lifetime resident of Miramichi. Retired school administrator. Last president of the former Chatham Town Credit Union and a Board members for over eight years with Chatham Town. Served as Board president of Chatham Town at the time of its amalgamation with Beaubear Credit Union. Served on Beaubear Credit Union board for a nine year term after the amalgamation. Returned to serve on the Beaubear's Board after a required one year absence and have just finished a three year term. Served as Board President for two years , as well as on the Governance and Audit Committees of the Board.   Served, this past year, as Chair of the Audit Committee. Completed all required Director certification courses. Been a Credit Union member for over 35 years (Chatham Town, NBTA and Beaubear) Very interested in continuing to offer my experience, knowledge and support to make Beaubear Credit Union the number one financial service on the river.

Dane Gunnlaugson - Current Board Member, Reoffering

I moved to the Miramichi 10 years ago at the age of 18. I successfully obtained my Business Administration Diploma from NBCC Miramichi (2012-2014). While attending college I served on student council, HCBD board of directors, and was involved with student orientation and peer tutoring. After graduation I was awarded a professional sales certificate with a cash prize for academic achievements. I became a member of Beaubear in 2014 after obtaining a contract to operate the Canadian Tire Gas Bar in Chatham. During my business tenure with Canadian Tire, I doubled existing store sales, served on the “Historic Chatham Business District” board of directors for 7 years (4 years as VP), and received the 2019 MYPIE Customer Service Award. I have been serving on the Beaubear Board of Directors for 2 complete years. While on the board I have enjoyed learning about financial management, serving on the Governance Committee, and networking with an amazing group of professionals. My greatest strengths include my business education/experience, community involvement, along with a positive and consistent attitude.

Elizabeth Dawson

My name is Elizabeth Dawson. I submitted an application for a position on the Board of Directors for Beaubear Credit Union. I’m a 46 year old mother of one , originally from Barnaby but reside in Nelson. I work in education with Anglophone North School District and am a member of Beaubear Credit Union. I think the Credit Union would benefit with having me as a board member, because I could bring forward my life experiences as well as my personal traits .  I am very self confident and always considerate of others . I’ve always been a team player, I’m honest, trustworthy, kind, caring, considerate, a very hard worker, articulate, reliable and full of love great ideas.  I have leadership qualities, I’m very eager to learn new things, I have a very happy, outgoing attitude and am full of great ideas.  I always go above and beyond to help others and I exceed expectations. I consider myself a trendsetter and I am confident I will not disappoint.

Garrett Law

I am a permanent resident of Canada since 2009. I am married to Abbie (MacDonald) Law from Napan and a Father of 2 Boys (Myles and William). I am the Owner of Northern Green Landscaping since 2015 and the Landlord of Apartments in Miramichi.  I am a current Board Member of Retirement Miramichi. I would like to join the Beaubear Credit Union Board of Directors and feel I could contribute with my experience and common sense approach to problem solving. I enjoy working with others and have a great desire to see Miramichi prosper!

Tom McLean

My business experience covers a broad spectrum from retail construction material sales, residential and heavy industry construction, surveying, engineering, hospitality and tourism. Over a decade ago I entered the mineral exploration and development sector. Developing such a large project undertaking required of me the gaining of a deep understanding of corporate governance, finance, taxation, securities laws, financial regulators and compliance reporting. Our Credit Union will soon pass the restructuring deadline in becoming a full and duly responsible registrant with compliance and reporting responsibilities under the New Brunswick Securities Commission under the new regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, our future is full of important challenges and it is my hope that my skills can be of service to our Board and to all.

Paul Whitty

I moved here from Ontario in 2017 and got married to my wife, who is from New Brunswick. Before moving from Ontario I completed a degree in Civil Engineering and Management at McMaster University. This would be a help with understanding the operations of the business as well as strategies for the future of the credit union. I also worked as a Plant Manager for 3 years at Cantech Precision Coatings where I was responsible for the day to day operations of the business in Ontario. Since moving I have owned, managed, and renovated multi-family properties in Miramichi. This experience gives me insight into the lending process, and risk management as a lender. My experience with different businesses gives me a good background of working with other team members. I look forward to giving back to the community by offering my experience on the board at Beaubear Credit Union.
